Cooking Time!

I get an invite to a cooking class on Saturday, August 4: Ultimate Korean Food Experience, A cooking class at the Heny Sison Culinary School

I say if you can't beat the Koreans who are flocking in our country, join them!

Post script: The best Korean restaurant in town, for me, is Ye Dang located in Ortigas near Metrowalk. Make sure to order the grilled pork strips which can be eaten with rice, as a bacon, or folded in sesame seed leaf or lolo rosa lettuce (make sure to dip it in their special sauce with garlic), the barbecued beef ribs are marinated in a special sauce and they are yummy, the beef brisket soup (strange but a mouthful of flavors), and my favorite the Korean pansit chapsay (?). The kimchi comes in many formats as side dishes and is unlimited- spinach, spicy veggie kimchi (standard), peanuts, small potatoes in a sauce, peanut kimchi, carrots and fish cake kimchi. The guys loved the kimchi soup with seafood and sake (potato wine, actually) but I found it too spicy. The funny thing about this experience is that we had an American-Korean guest order everything for us. He liked it, "It's not so bad, quite good actually." We all loved it.
