I have a lot of friends, but my closest friends include a superstar (Sony is a superstar in his world, an A lister, if I may say), a president in the making (Bossing!), and models who get to be featured in billboards, magazines and do the runway (who cares if its at St. Francis Square?). Cie dates architects and is about to be an expat's wife or a model (which one's first), while Grace continue to jetsett and carve her unique way, defiant of the corporate world, and doing it her way .
The truest of friends care for each other and want nothing but the best for each other. Having been friends for more than 10 years, we truly care about the other person's growth and freely ask questions and make comments while ingesting our food and drinking our wine. Last night we celebrated "new places", "friendship" and "life". We knew each other back when we didn't have our own beds to sleep in (folded beds in dorms, worm-infested pots in Canlubang) and yesterday we realized we are all (or all by next week) living in our own units. Some began to see the irony of a management post in the corporate world, and talks hovered quickly from Vic Sotto and Pia Guanio to strategic financial funds ( I have got to get Charmz as my financial adviser, but Cha, I'm still working on my assets and liabilities matrix of Guy Kawasaki), to women wearing makeup, and a lovelife dish. Like our cheese and delicatessen platter provided by Consuelo, we enjoyed every bit of the conversation.
But what do real friends mean? They mean what they say, and utter prayers for each other. We keep each other company, married or not, up or down. Each other's presence is a blessing, and we continue to get inspiration from one another. I am happy to have been surrounded by them, at my home, with much love.
Hi Arms. Im sorry if i hurt or disturbed you.
I don't know too whether i would make you feel worse. Forgive me, but i cannot sleep and i sense from the Holy Spirit that i have to share with you some of my thoughts.
i think i have to share that my love story is not impossible for anyone. In fact, the married circle of friends that i have are all not without challennges but nevertheless joyful and fulfilled. Perhaps, that is why im surprised of the true to life stories of separation in the other side of the world.
i believe, the turning point in my life was when i had nothing to hold on but God. I embraced Jesus unconditionally because i was empty. It was in loving and serving Him through my day to day grind that i find solace and comfort. Through all those times, my only stronghold is my faith in God's plan in my life.
I exhort you to truly and deeply seek the Lord and His plan for you. You are a very special person. Extremely talented and beautiful. Surrender all your concerns, anxieties, plans and dreams. Have faith that the Lord is in control and that He has plans for you. Believe in His plans. And of course, repent of your sins that He may truly work in your life.
If what you see in the world is discontent, grief, sorrow, or unfulfilled dreams, then go into the other side of the world. World that is not perfect and cannot be perfect but because Jesus is ever present it is peaceful and joyful.
I love you Arms. I treasure our friendship. I want the best for you in the same manner that i know that you wish me best all the time.
Love and prayers,
CHarmz
