Balai Ysabel
We were supposed to book the long weekend of May 1-3 in Balai Ysabel but I decided not to push through with this for the kids, and opted instead a rustic getaway in Zambales. Why? It's primarily because the kids will not be able to enjoy the water as Taal's lakewater is not recommended for swimming. Good thing our corporate workshop was held here, and although I find the rooms new and well-kept, I would rather be in a reach beach than be in a pool along with a hundred other guests.
And oh, the food sucks too.
